Dr. Bailey, knows the small town mentality, as well as the drastic needs for healthcare education after growing up in a town of less than 1,000 people. He has had an affinity for knowledge and higher education, as he started taking college level courses while in High School. Additionally, while in High School he started working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the evenings, while he was attending classes to obtain his Licensed Practical Nurse. He obtained his degree before the age of 17 and was forced to wait until legal age to take licensure exam. Patient exposure continued as he began to work on a Orthopedics/ Trauma/ Post-surgical unit that had over 60-beds where he recognized his true affinity for trauma patients. He soon wanted more, so he began to take classes at the University of Kansas for Pre-Med. Shortly after attending the University of Kansas, he was presented with an offer to continue his nursing education, and obtain an Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.). With the tempting offer, he decided to pursue the offer and attended a community college near Kansas City, where he obtained his R.N.. While in school he was presented with an offer to work in a critical care unit in Topeka, Kansas. This  was a once-in-a-lifetime offer, as this is where he met many of his great mentors as well as his wide array of exposure to Trauma. During his stay he continued his education while working at the bedside of many critically ill patients and obtained his Bachelor’s (B.S.N.) education through the University of Kansas, School of Nursing.

Brandon transitioned from the Critical Care environments to Emergency Departments shortly after obtaining his B.S.N., carrying with him the mentality of “bringing critical care nursing to the bedside in the ER.” His experiences gained while traveling, all over Kansas & Missouri as well as being a critical care flight nurse propelled him to return, yet again to the University of Kansas, School of Nursing to obtain a Master’s of Science in Nursing in Family Practice.

Currently Brandon works full-time as an Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, where he functions as a clinician caring for paturients and surgical patients. Additionally, he moonlights at various hospitals in the rural area that are in need, to meet the demands of patients. In an attempt to continue his endeavor on life-long education he is pursuing other ventures through education to continue the life long goal of continued access and improvement of healthcare to Kansas and surrounding areas.
