CHRISTOPHER TOLLEFSON, M.S.N., A.P.R.N-C

Chris Tollefson is a licensed nurse practitioner with extensive medical/surgical ICU and PACU nursing experience. As a nurse practitioner, he’s been involved in inpatient and outpatient cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure, and cardiothoracic surgery. Chris has extensive knowledge in process improvement initiatives focused on Evidence-Based Practice. Currently, he is serving as the Director of QA/QI and is additionally serves as Chair of the Quality Initiative’s Committee. Beyond clinical practice, he’s taught undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students at Washburn University. He’s also precepted both nurse practitioners and physician associates. Chris has been an active policy advocate for nurse practitioner practice in the state of Kansas and served as a health policy advisor and on the KAPN Legislative committee. He has a passion for cardiology and education.
